In the summer of 2017, I worked as a communication intern at the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Science (CIRES), a partnership between NOAA and the University of Colorado. This internship led me to a larger overall understanding of how research organizations function and the pivotal role of communications teams in sharing these operations. During this internship, I created a two-pager for the NSIDC (Below) which was placed in the hands of lobbyists heading to Washington D.C. and constructed the CIRES annual report for NOAA.
